Help me out peeps!
So Big Brown is gouging me for the shipping of my parted out 89 C4-700r4 without converter, they are claiming it at 285 lbs, which I know to be
untrue. However, to contest it, I need published proof of the true weight. Everything I looked at online says around 135, but I need to print it from an official or professional source. Any help would be appreciated!

Well, it's been at Pete K.'s since the beginning of the month, so I can't weigh it. It was Pete that alerted me to the backside seduction at the hand of the Brownshirts.
Anything heavy or large size should go Fed Ex. UPS wanted over $80 to ship a targa top to Michigan and I took it to Fed Ex and shipped for $35. UPS is nutz on their pricing.

In retrospect, I should have, but Brown's original quote was less....

It's already there dood! I PM'd Pete K., hopefully he'll have input. I can't believe in this day and age of technology, I can't find a site that shows specs!

Ya, I did that with Marshall Engine/Trans today (one of my vendors), but it's too hard to read...I'll try TCI, or maybe Hughes tommorow...I actually used to race with Jimmy Hughes back in the 80's...

Update: I've submitted documents from General Motors Dealer Support (the biggie), Hughes Performance, Marshall Engine/Trans, Ask.com and our own spec page....so the gauntlet has been thrown, I'll now wait and
see what happens. At this point, I don't care if I make money, I just
don't want to lose any....
