I never knew you cam had stink issues, but I'm glad that you got it worked out...

Only a few people on CF mention fuel smell with a big cam,, but I know it is a function of the overlap, unless a person has special tuning capabilities

People are PM me asking whats the reason for running e85. The main reason is the fuel is 105 octane. You can add more timing and you get more HP at the wheels. The bad part is you have to run a bigger fuel pump and larger injectors and have a tune for the E85. Race fuel is over $8 a gallon. e85 is $3.19 here.

You use about 30% more but it still cheaper than race fuel.

Have you experienced ANY negative effects from the E85 after you adjusted pump, injectors & tune ?

Same here, it is not extreme, but people notice it, and then ask about it

I suppose if you wont drive the car often then no biggie, but if you do 30% is alot for 25 rwhp or whatever your motor would gain.

Your not doing the math. Super unleader here is $4.00 a Gallon E 85 is $3.19 a gallon. So it would cost you $4.14 a Gallon. But this is 105 Oct. Race fuel is double that. Mine still runs on pump gas aswell as E-85. I have two chips with two diffrent tunes on it.

1/3 less energy content in Ethanol than in gasoline. Most places around Houston do not take the energy content reduction into consideration when pricing E85, only knock off 20-30 cents.

And worry about the E85 effects on the old rubber gaskets and hoses.

E10 ruined the gas tank in my boat.

Been using E85 for 18 months. I did replace the rubber lines under the hood because they were 23 years old, just to be safe. The rest of the original stuff is still in tact. I left a bit of old rubber line in a container of E85 for a year. When it was not effected at that point, I just threw it out.
