Default Service ASR

Ok, after reading all the threads here "Service ASR" I am totally confused.
I have a 93 and the light just came on the other day. Warm or cold the light is on. The car runs fine and everything works just fine. The brake fluid level is right up there. For codes all I get is the normal 12.
How can I reset this? I have the dealership manuals and can't seem to find much. Thanks for any help!

I have the same thing Service ASR light started coming on but codes have been stored. Did you get yours fixed? I think it has something to do with the ABS. I noticed before this service light came on that my ABS brakes were not cycling when i start the car and i can lock up the wheels, ABS isnt kicking in.

The ASR light is your Acceleration Slip Regulation, aka Traction Control which can also effect the Anti-lock Brakes, do they cycle when you first start your car? Do the brakes lockup when you brake hard? DTC 12 is just the delimiter intended to show where the ECM codes starts and stops. This always flashes 3 times before and after any stored codes.
When I had the ASR light come on it stayed on all the time until the problem was solved. When it first came on i didn’t have any codes show up either. I went thru the service manual diagnostics and everything checked out ok except my anti-lock brakes stopped working . About two weeks later I went to start the car and it wouldn’t start. Then I noticed the SYS light was flashing in the speedometer and the ASR light was still on. I checked for codes again and found H41, H72, and 62. These together all pointed to a faulty ECM. I replaced the ECM with a remanufactured one and it fixed the all my problems.
Follow the service manual diagnostics for the ASR service light. And keep checking for DTC codes after it flashes 12 three times any stored codes will start flashing.

No codes were stored and car runs and drives fine just the light on. Brake fluid is up there and no lock up when hard braking.

Does the ABS kick on (brake pedal vibrates)?

You should have codes if the light is coming on.

How are you pulling the codes. The EXACT way to do it is in the FSM. Go to the Section 9A? on CCM Diagnostics in the thicker book 1. See the link provided to the thread, I detailed how to do it.
