Can anyone tell me if an 87 vette sending unit will fit my 84 Thank You

yes, exactly BUT lots of 84 CF guys are installing TPI pumps to help maintain a decent fuel pressure at WOT or high RPM where their stock CF low pressure (15psi) fuel pressure would leave flat spots from fuel starvation.

I am sure I've seen threads on this here before. Maybe do a search for 84 fuel pump upgrade?
