I've had the same digital dash problems that alot of people have. I printed out the info on how to repair this problem. I've also had a problem I haven't heard about. When I'm in the vette, I can't see the speedometer because the numbers and bar curve are too bright. The middle part of my tach is the same way. I've taken my digital cluster apart :smash: . When I look at the LCD glass panels with a light behind them, the tach numbers and bar curve at each end are light blue and clear in the middle (where it is too bright when running). The speedometer is all clear. I have deduced that all of the numbers and bar curve are supposed to be this light blue color. Is there a way I can fix this? Please help me. My cluster is laying on my kitchen table all apart!!!! :cry
I went to Eckler's online. Are you talking about a rebuild kit? The only thing I've seen is Digital Cluster repair that replaces the LED's and that costs $899. I was hoping I could do something myself. Has anyone had this problem? How did you fix it?
The spring 2002 Eckler's catalog, page 67, has a service that rebuilds the cluster. You send them the unit and they return it fixed. It costs $ 379.99. I would call them and find out if that service will take care of the problem you are experiencing.
I had my digital cluster repaired for $165.00. In the Chicago area close to O'hara airport. AJR International 1630 832 0222 This is where the dealers in my area send there units, then they charge you $500.00 plus labor.
