Default Door Jam Switch

Hi everyone. I'm going to change the door jam switch on the driver's door because the stereo stays on even if the door is shut so I have to manually turn off the radio when I get out of the car. I'm worried that I will forget and it will drain the battery. Anyways, I got the switch and I have the directions from this forum about using screws so the back plate won't fall into the door. I was wondering what size screw to use? Thanks in advance, Ed

And don't worry about the battery draining, if you forget to turn the radio off, before you get this switch replaced. The power windows and stereo are on a delayed power bus. They will only remain powered up for fifteen minutes after you shut off the engine. Opening the door (if the switch is functioning) will kill the fifteen-minute delay, and remove power from the windows and stereo immediately. Otherwise, it'll time out after fifteen minutes.

Live well,
