I know I can probably get one from the dealer for a couple extra bucks, but is this available at a regular parts store like AutoZone or PepBoys. I picked up one that looked like it was correct. It will fit perfectly as a replacement throttle position sensor connector but it wont mate correctly to the MAP sensor because of the way the connector is slotted. I just need the housing of the connector, not the full pigtail. Kinda weird how almost every retained clip on the connectors are broken.
Re: GM Weatherpack Connector For MAP Sensor (gpagaduan)
Thanks Jon. I took a second look around at PepBoys at found the connector. Came with the pigtail, which I didn't need but I picked it up. I just needed the housing, which for the TPS connector was only a couple of bucks. With the pigtail was $10!! They have a really great selection of GM connectors. I wish they had the option of just getting the housing though. :D
Re: GM Weatherpack Connector For MAP Sensor (JonM)
Actually, I did something really stupid. I replaced the TPS connector because it the clip was broken on it as well. The stupid thing is that I didn't pay attention to the order of how the wires were housed. I referenced my Chilton manual and when I started up the car, I got the Service Engine light and the engine stalls when I give a little throttle. You think the Chilton manual is wrong? I'm going out to buy the little tool so I can pull the code. Or maybe it's a vacuum leak? I can't tell. I've only recently started working on my car and I can't tell a vacuum leak hiss from normal engine noise at this point. ARGHHH!!!
