Hi every one I drove my car the other day and heard a loud squeaking noise from my drivers side wheel I jacked up the car and attempted to move the wheel 12 oclock to 6 oclock position and then 9 to 3 oclock position no movement. I took the wheel and brake caliber off and spun around the rotor and then heard the loud squeaking noise again. I sprayed it down with WD 40 and the noise went away. Does this mean that I fixed the problem or is this a sign of a wheel bearing issue.

have a 2000 windstar that had a roaring noise and same thing when calipers on, no movement but when off had play and plenty of racket. change them before you encounter wheel separation.

What do you mean change the calipers or wheel bearing

bearing. My wife's 2004 had a noisy rear bearing and did not show any play. Replaced it and noise is gone.

On my 92 I replaced all 4 wheel bearings at 120K miles, only the passenger rear was exhibiting any wobble. When I took it off it came out in two pieces.
