Air not working. Final check was to jump pressure switch. When i do this, The AC clutch ingage. So, It's either the Pressure Switch or, Low R134. Two Questions...
1: What is th eeasiest way to check the switch
2: If i need to change the switch, will i lost R134 anyway ?
I would see if there is any R134a in the system first. Yes, if you remove the switch any refrigerant will escape the system. I do NOT suggest this. If you have a leak find it and fix it. You may need to recharge with some a/c dye in the system too and then use a black light and some yellow glasses to find the leak. You will need access to an A/C machine to do this the right way. Can be done "back yard" mechanic style, but I do NOT recommend. The EPA will NOT approve....
I replaced one of my A/C switches without losing any freon. I don't remember the details, but I believe there's a Schrader valve in the fitting that the switch screws into.

Been awhile but I think Cliff is correct
When you jump the switch does the compressor engage and the system cool? If so freon should be OK. If not then freon is most likely gone. If so I would go the dye route.
