Rubber mallet what you can into the ring then use a bench vice. You can get tons of torque from a bench vice and it makes it easier. I have heard of some people rubbing the ring and the bushing with a simple oil to help it along. I've also heard of people using Crisco, but that seems a little........ strange.

Two things I'v used to lube the bushing.
1.Dish soap and water...makes it slick as dog snot
2.Crisco...works well

I then put the parts into a vise to press the bushing into the hole....A large C-clamp will work well also

Finish up the process with a nice cold beer

I lube the bushing edge and the link with the supplied lube. Take a 13/16 12 point socket with 1/2 in drive, put a 3 1/2 or 4 inch 3/8 bolt along with a flat washer through the socket coming from the drive side so the socket will let the bushing go into it a you draw it through. Take another flat washer and a 3/8 nut, once you get everything snugged up, square the bushing against the link then just tighten the nut the bushing will go right through nice & straight. I tried a vice and a c clamp and the bushing kept wanting to squirm off to one side when tightening, this way it will go straight through. Do the sway bar the same way coming from the inner side with the bolt & socket, you may have to pull the sway bar away from the chassis so the bolt will go in with the socket but not a big deal. One thing I forgot, remove the metal sleeves from the old bushings, they are not needed.

How do you remove the metal sleave? Those things feel like they are welded in

Do you mean the sleeve in the control arm? That one is a PITA. There are a number of threads on that topic, with a variety of suggestions.

You may have to use a chisel to get one side bent inward, once it is bent inward it will come out with a few good raps.
