I just started put my tranny back together after changing the clutch but I need help getting the clutch fork back on the release bearing. I just can't figure out how to remove the fork from the bellhousing and it sure as heck seem to want to line right on the release bearing with everthing in tact. Any ideas please. Oh yeah its a 92 ZF6
Does anyone know what I am talking about I really need to put it back together, please.
Yep, believe me, I know. Transmission side of bellhousing, there is a circular bolt that screws into the clutch fork. It is an allen bolt, about 6-8mm, but the head is about 1" across. You remove this, by turning counter-clockwise (normal). Once you remove this bolt, there is a 12mm allen bolt that is actually the clutch pivot ball. From the transmission side turn this CLOCKWISE to loosen the pivot ball. Once loose, you should be able to attach to the throwout bearing. Then reverse the above procedures.
If you need pics, let me know, as mine is apart now too.
