Brake Sticking Left Front 1987

This seems to be a common problem and I have addressed the usual causes with no results. Replaced rubber hose, no change replaced caliper, no change and just replaced the master cylinder, no change. So now I'm lost. Any help would be appreciated.

When you apply the brakes, does it pull hard to the left? When the front is raised, is the wheel hard to turn?

I had the exact same problem on my 87 a4, but on the right side. It turned out the be the ABS pump. I also replaced the brakes, calipers, hoses, etc. before concluding that the pump was at fault. I found a used one on eBay for 125.00 and replaced it myself.

i am having the same problem, new calipers, new hoses. gonna have the system flushed and then replace abs pump. did you replace the pump then bleed the brakes to remove the air from the abs unit?

Had the same problem with my 86, replaced caliper and flexible brake line at wheel. It was the abs pump, did not want to spend money on new abs pump. Cut the metric ends off at pump and found sae inverted flare couplings and reconnected.
