I checked my fuel pressure running on my 94 vette and it is about 36 to 38 pounds. When I hit the throttle it dips a bit and then goes up to about 40 psi. The car stumbles under light acceleration and I'm trying to trouble shoot the problem. What should the pressure be at idle and when I hit the gas running????? I disconnected the vacumm line to the pressure regulator and the pressure goes up to 44 psi. Does this sound like a fuel pump problem? Any help would be great.
Your fuel pressure sounds just fine where I would eliminate the pump and filter. Does not sound like a fuel problem. The injectors on a 94 are pretty good injectors and cause little problems
I don’t want to jump the gun on this but it is a possibility the opti might be the problem. That is one of the symptoms of an opti acting up.
Of course there are several other things that can be checked. MAF, MAP and TPS.
Just in principal I would use the on board diagnostics and check for any codes. I would rather be surprised if you found anything on a problem like this but you should check the boxes.
OMG, I have the same issue right now and just posted in another thread, "1/4 mile video, help with diagnosis". Any way, I don't know if you have a pressure regulator on a 94, but we think that is the issue with mine. I do have a 91 L98 vs your 94 LT1, but I think you have a pressure regulator.
Read my previous post on hesitation problem I went thru some of the same issues Hope it helps you out ended up being bad gas I was on a reserve tank and added sea foam
