if timing is set too fast will engine shut down?

Hate to hear a fellow c4 member die in his 20's before he is even ever married & has children of his own.
All because of BS advice that you must set ignition base timing in Overdrive 4th gear range.
.
C4 is light & torquey & powerful stock.
It will jump over blocks easily.
How about Wille's racecar...........the 10 second ride that wheel stands every time he launches leaving the line???????
Ask him to set his base ignition timing in Drive...........
I am sure he would look at you strange also.
