Had the rear fiberglass leaf spring replaced 5 years ago and the new one just cracked. How much should labor be to replace it? It was done as a favor and it took all of 30 minutes last time. I'd do it myself but its not fun without a lift
its not hard to do, use a couple of jackstands, take one side at a time loose using a floor jack to release the tension, gently, four bolts at the center, reverse procedure to install the new one. good time to put new bushings in.
The rear not that big of a deal ..Jack stans work fine take tenison off spring will a this point just be hanging there .. Take out 4-bolts spring will fall on your head make sure head out of way..Easy fix..The front not so easy...
Thanks for the info guys...I got lazy and took it to a Ford dealership with my own new spring and a real nice mechanic put it on in 30 minutes and charged me $40 for labor and inspected my car for free...so I gave the mechanic a $30 tip...

Well... any good mechanic can work on Chevys or
Fords and actually as much as I have owned Chevys for the past 5 decades, Ford does have some better ideas...and btw...there is nothing wrong with Mustangs...I just like Vettes more
