I have a super rammed 383 stroker motor and have just replaced the stock 22 # injectors with a set of FMS 30 # injectors. The car was maxing out the stock injectors and was causing it to lean out a little too much at high RPM, so I replaced them with the 30 # injectors, as my mechanics suggested. Now, the car runs rich. I haven't gotten it back from the mechanics because he is installing a nitrous kit on it now.
For those who have upgraded to the 30 # injectors, did you notice that your car ran rich at all? I had a chip from Fastchips.com burned for me for the stock injectors. Do I have to get another chip burned for these new injectors?
I have an AFPR and with the stock injectors, I was running at 47 psi, but dyno tuned it down to 44 psi (best numbers at 44 ). What kind of psi should I be running now with the new injectors?
It's the Fastchip.com chip I had programmed for me when I had the stock 22 # injectors in. I was hoping not to have to spend like $350 or so again. Besides, that equals to like $525 or so Canadian. If I do get another chip burned, will it improve the air/fuel mixture and lean it out a little, cuz it's too rich now.
check out the ecm/tuning section in this forum. there is faq thread that tells you how to get started burning your own chip. the amount you spend to get it reprogrammed, is more or less the same amount you need to get started, and it is really easy and fun. for my car, it was running 10.5:1 AFR at WOT before I reprogrammed my chip.

Mail order programs are very generic and won't reward you with maximum gains. Best way is to locate a chassis dyno with a wide band sensor and have someone burn a chip for you. I would suggest Agostino Racing Engines in Pickering, Ont they provide this service.
