When I went to use my 2.5 ton Sears jack on my 93 Corvette this weekend, I realized I would have a problem. Is there a trick to this or do I really have to use the jack that came with the car? Does someone sell a conversion kit? Any tips?
I've only had the car a month and wanted to really clean behind the rims and the rear tire wells.

What is the problem, Is the jack too high for the car? For these car, you need a low profile jack to get under.
My jack fits under the car. It has a "cup" shape on the top of the jack. When I placed the jack in the spot where it says to allign the jack, the rail of the car started to flex and it also seemed to be pushing it's way into the floor on the driver's side.
The top of my jack is circular and has four "cut-outs" in the cup. I never had a problem on my previous vehicles. I didn't even know where to put the jack stands.
