92 corvette with 91 parts
My boss has a 92 Corvette convertible that I can use to compare to and that has been helping.
First off my LCD displays the speed on the bottom not the top like the bosses does so I'm guessing mine is from a 91. The LCD on turning the key to the run displays everything for a second then it go's weird, and displays some of the info. It also has a security light that flashes when the key is in the run position and the reserve and items around it on the LCD flash as well. It is my belief that the CCM is trying to display a FEDS code by flashing the security light as well as "SYS" on LCD but again sense it's a 92 CCM and a 91 LCD i think thats why it's flashing random stuff.
Second question i have is if their is a way to tell what year a CCM is by looking at the numbers on the sticker?
Third and I'm sure you all will love this one. The engine is a L98 tuned port (which to be honest I like better than the LT1 but that's just me)
and I have no clue if the ECM is a 91 or 92 if a 91 ECM will work with a 92 CCM all i do know about the ECM is it seems to match up for connectors.
Lastly what are other differences between 91 and 92 Corvettes besides the L98 / LT1 engine, the location of the coolant cap, and the LCD displays ?

My ECM however is a 91' which is why it matches with L98 engine.
In an totally great turn of luck i was digging threw the extra parts I got with the car and found another CCM, ran the numbers and low and behold it's for a 91' Corvette. I figure i'll just put the 91' CCM in and solve all my problems.
On a side note if anyone is looking for a 92' Corvette CCM let me know.
P.S. these forums are awesome.
I believe theres 15 different VATS codes, I do not know how to query the CCM to determine which VATS code it is expecting. A quick forum search on VATS should get you going tho

If it doesn't work then i guess i'll be making 14 resistor blocks and finding out which works.
