Default 1984 Questions

A couple of general questions about my 84.

1. What is the average water temp on hot days in the midwest should my car run? In traffic I will get to 220, is that too hot? If so, what to do too cool. Driving down the road the temp stays between 190 and 200. I put new air deflector on helps while moving, but obviously not while in town traffic.

2. Is the brake booster for an 84 different than 85 and up. Most ads i see list 1984 only, the 1985 ads list 1985 and up multiple years.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Its designed to run hot, I forget the spec.
Its for emmissions.
You can make it run any temp you want by changing the fan switch, located on driverside head.

Your Corvette is designed to run at about 195 degrees. Your main cooling fan should come on at about 224 degrees and shut off at about 212 degrees. In traffic on a hot day, your main cooling fan should keep the engine in the 212 - 225 degree range.

You can clean out the trash between your A/C condenser & your radiator (see attached) which should make the car run a little cooler.
