Do I really need to install a bigger fuelpump and bigger fuel lines when using 150 shot NOS.
What should the minimum fuel pressure be to secure sufficient delivery of fuel. Any risk of popping the valves etc.
Allready twisted one driveshaft and would not like to see any engine damage
:U
Any of you guys have some good advice/experience on using 100/150 shot.
Every bit of hints and tricks are welcomed. :yesnod:
Bigger fuel Pump, Definately. You don't want to lean out. Your stock Fuel pressure should work fine, as long as your vehicle is running OPTIMAL stock, and pull the Fast Chip unless you're running a timing retard box(most likely your chip advances the timing, and with that high of a shot, you're looking at retarding AT LEAST 5 degrees, you might be able to get away with stock timing, but still I would play it safe and pull out 2 degrees over stock timing).
I'm still SOMEWHAT new to NOS, so if I'm wrong, please _SOMEONE_ correct me.
Your best bet would be to go with a MSD digital 6, around $280 from Jegs or Summit. High output, easy to install, and it has a singlestage of retard. You definately want to get a hotter spark if you're installing NOS and try to go with a set of colder plugs. I recommend the NGK TR6 or the Autolite 106's(a little cheaper).
You set the adjustable potentiometer to how many degrees of retard. It's engaged through a postive(If I'm not mistaken) input, so you can piggyback a wire off the solenoid's (+) wire to engage it (assuming that you have the solenoids setup to a relay which outputs positive when triggered; Most nitrous companies give instructions for this setup so you don't have to worry).
