I got my car to run for the first time the other day(93 lt-1 383) and it has ran absolutely perfect. No problems or anything. So its time to go to the paint shop and I went out of town for a week. I come back and the painter told me he went to move it and it deid like it ran outta gas. Now it wont start. I have tried all of the following.
1. Reset the battery
2. Checked all fuses
3. Battery power
Here s what i have so far
1. It has feul pressure 40lbs at rail
2.It has battery power and will crank
3.No spark, because i put a timing light on and the light does not work
4. All fuses are good
5. No trouble codes on diacom
6.The plugs look a little wet but i still have no power going to them(from light)
I guess the easiest thing would be start at your spark plugs and work your way back through your ignition, checking for power at each system. For example get something like a screw driver and hold it next to the distributor input wire and see if you get a spark. Keep going back through your ignition until you get a spark. But it deffinately sounds like ignition to me.
It sounds like your not getting any spark. See if your getting spark from the coil. If yes, its the opti. If not, it could be the ignition module, the coil, or the ECM.
The painter didn't wash the car did he ? If he did, the opti is a big suspect.
