I recently had a piggyback chip done by a local on line Tuner,
(89 VETTE,AUTO,3.07)
Told him I had ZZ4 cam,1.5 roller tips, ported plenum/intake manifold, magnaflow cat etc and already had ARAP prom.
and Bosch III's set using AFPR @ 43.5lb
On having the piggyback chip read,seems like all he has added(aside from VATS/EGR delete is
as appears he uses the ARAP anyway as a base tune
1. Lot more spark advance up top(why?)
2. Fans now set at 199 / 193F?
3. Injectors Now 21.20 vs stock 22.36
4. Idle set at 700

Why are you questioning the tune? He is running it cooler, raised the idle for the cam, changed the injector constant (you didn't mention what you had for size) and added more timing from an unknow base. Does it run poorly?

It just seems to perform better without the piggy back chip
