Hi Dave, I need another one - this one for the '89 6Spd Z51 coupe I just bought. I'll call you.
Everyone - I can't say enough about Dave - both his EXCELLENT customer service and the Camber Brace itself. I have a few suspension mods (read - everything has been changed) & I autocross a lot, plus do some road course work on occasion. I put the Camber Bar on my 96 LT4 a few months ago. Here's some answers:
1. It eliminates front end flex so you maintain your negative camber during cornering instead of losing it.
2. It greatly improves chassis rigidity.
3. It clears everything, but is close. Installation requires patience.
4. Yes, it is hard to do the sepentine belt afterward. A long thin wrench is essential.
5. Installation WILL NOT change your existing alignment and it doesn't have to be removed to do future alignments.
6. Do not lift the engine without removing the ECT sender (LT1 & LT4 owners) - does it sound like I forgot? :bb
7. It would have to be removed to do a water pump, opti, etc.
8. Dave's instructions are very good - and he'll answer a phone call at midnight too :)
The Camber Brace  made the best single improvement in my car's handling - period. More impact than poly bushings, Konis, springs, swaybars, lowering, etc. The price/value ratio is off the scale.
Does it sound like I am a happy customer? I am - and a multiple repeat one too. If I need it and Dave makes it, Dave will always have a sale.
I couldn't wait any longer. I ordered my camber brace about 15 minutes ago. Now, Dave, how about a deal on the Cross Bar? :D If I see a GP on the Cross Bar and it's a good price I will not hesitate and I WILL buy one. :yesnod:
Dave....i realize today is the 7th...and I have prolly missed out on this deal....but was curious.....it is still gonna be honored?.....and better question.....will this help at all with my top... (the flex is soo much that I have trouble getting the thing on when my car is parked on even the slightest hill!) also when the top is off....you can feel the flex difference....
I have checked out the crossbar...that seems to be what I believe I need....but $280 plus shipping....Iam a bit strapped for cash right now...(just had to buy a new tranny)...
However the camber brace.....well thats sounding like a really good deal...
