Well start here, once you get it running as it should, then you maybe happy with the power for a bit.

As for the free mods, the vader web site pretty much covers the basic DIY grinder/cut mods you can do.

After that, pull out the $$$

After a few years of looking and buying parts for my upgrade from an LT1 to an LT4 topend with a Hot cam, I figure it costs about $20 per horse power increase. And that is with me doing all the work. So going from a 300 hp LT1 to a 400 hp LT4 (with hot cam) costs about $2000. The parts list is quite extensive.

A vette owner looking for more horse power is not going to be satisfy by small mods that get you 3 to 5 horse power more. so after reading all your post and came to realize. there is no free ride on this one..

I have just about done every free mod or almost free mod that there is....and if you added them all up, I bet it isn't more than 20 HP. If you added up what people say they produce or advertise, I could leave my wallet it my pocket. Cam, heads, intake and exhaust is where all the power is. Cha Ching!

With no money the options are limited. You can do the free/cheap stuff but we're talking like 2-3 hp at a time.

If you want to go faster without spending any more money, sell the car and buy a bike (motorcycle).

Mail me that original C4 passenger pre - catalytic converter before you pitch the entire works in the garbage.

There are junk metal guys paying up to $100 cash for them.
Last few months here in IL.
