Default Smoking vents!!

I was driving my 86 and I heard a pop sound on the drivers side, i figured it was a rock or something, stopped at a gas station, then drove down the block. started smelling something and went back. Popped the hood, there was smoke on the passenger side of the engine bay, and the vents by the wiper blades. So I called my dad and he told me to just come home the coolant and oil was only at like 200. Car ran fine except at a stoplight it sounded like it was wanting to die but that could just be the new cam. The A/C or heater won't blow anymore. Any ideas on what happened??

I recently posted a pic of a part in the engine bay on the passenger side by the firewall. It was a vacum controlled valve for letting water in and out of the heater core I think(it's something like that). Maybe your diaphram popped in that messing things up. Or the vacum line that operates it might have went south. I don't know if losing that vacum would mess with you idle or not but it's a good place to start the search.

Check fusible link "K" by starter.

Not sure if your HVAC is C60 or 68, so and check the blower relay/resistors/module, whichever applies.

Here is HVAC electrical from my 86 FSM

Do you have any pictures of the link "K"? And I have no volts to the connection at the blower motor.

I found it. The 5A fuse looks fine.
