Default 85 A/C vent flow question

I just got my 85 converted to 134 (works great BTW.) I checked the airflow to the vents according to the FSM, and noticed something. The FSM says that when the slider is set to "MAX", the A/C vents (top) should flow and the heater vents (under dash, middle) should have no flow.

When I have the A/C set to "MAX", the top vents flow, but I notice there is some airflow from the heater vents. Should there be absolute zero airflow from the heater vents, or is some flow "normal."

Please let me know how your experience is.

its an 85....the seals in the vent doors have long since deteriorated and fallen apart. Doors get sticky, they don't close tight anymore. Its gonna leak some air thru other ducts unless you are willing to disassemble the dash and fix all the vent/mix doors with new felt seals and new actuators.
