Default adjustable throttle position sensor

I just got through installing an adjustable throttle pos. sensor. Unfortunately I lost the paper that told me what the voltages should be. I know that WOT voltage should be in the 4.5 area but I can't remember what it should be at idle. Anyone know? Also, no matter how dramatically I move the new sensor, I can only get to 4.3 at WOT....and if I set it there, I'm pretty sure the voltage for idle will be off. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jason

I didn't think the adjustable unit worked after '90.

On the L98 you set the base idle voltage to 0.65Vdc safely; the ECM will throw the code above 0.67Vdc. My method of adjustment for a L98 is on my site.

A scan tool will of course tell you if the ECM is going open loop under WOT operation.

The 90-96 TPS are non-adjustable and are auto-zero'd in the engine computer. At idle it should read o.54Vdc and 4.5-5V at WOT.

you can use the 89's adjustable TPS on the 90-96 and as long as you set it below 1.0V at idle it'll auto zero and i haven't gotten a code yet... the most i've gotten is 4.6V on mine at WOT and my friends 90 got almost 4.8 but then was way off at idle.

You can only use the 89 and below adjustable style on the 85-91's the LT1's take a different style all together. For some reason in 90 they switched it to a non adjustable unit on the L98's. You can either make the holes larger or buy the 89 and below unit.

Hi. Yeah, the stock unit is non-adjustable, but Mid America sells an adjustable replacement (said to help smooth idle which is why I got it) specified for my model year. Unfortunetly I can not get it past 4.3 v. at WOT. At that voltage, am I losing performance? Any ideas how to get it up to 4.6?

Thanks,
Jason
