History Codes ??

I have had my H42 code for a long time. I am wondering if anyone else has had a history code and any info on the resetting it would be great. I have taken the negative cable off the battery and waited many times. I have reset the comp with the paper clip in the OBD1 thing a couple times as well. I am talking over 1,500 miles.

Thank you !...I am reading there are two options, one to disconnect the connector from the positive terminal to the ecm. The other is to touch the negative battery cable the the positive..... I will try the fuseable link first.

Am I reading this right?

Derek, you should find the cause of the code instead of trying to clear it. DTC 42 at times will not trigger an SES light, but will be stored as an H code.

well my light stays on and its reading history. So its just the nature of the code to be in the history? I have not had any ICM problems in over a year..
