I just did an engine change, which included a tune by pcm4less and a change to a 2400 stall convertor (B&M Holeshot). Now that I seem to have everything else worked out it has a shifting problem - First to second seems normal, then it will rev too high and not go into 3rd unless a take my foot off the gas and then gently give it some gas.
It doesn't want to go into OD at all and 60mph takes about 4000 rpm.
This is a 95 vette with an LT4 and 4L60E.
I am thinking about the only possible cause is the torque convertor is not locking up, especially with 4K rpm to get 60mph.
..... If the converter was the only change made to the transmission , I would VERY carefully check the trans fluid level ... it should have taken 2-3 gallons to fill ... fresh fluid can be hard to read on a dipstick , especially when you have poured some through the tube ... if the fluid levels are OK call PCM and ask what , if any changes they may have made to the shift points on the tune ..... DONT drive it til you're positive that its OK .... make sure you plugged the wiring harness back into the trans ... and hope you didn't already smoke the 3-4 clutch pack ..........
If you didn't pull your transmission then I'd think there may be an issue with the tune. As mentioned, make sure the fluid level is good. It worked before the tune so it should work after the tune. Brian @ PCM for less will hook you up. Did you do the e-mail tune or send your PCM to him? If you have your cable you can download TTS Datamaster and record what's happening then mail that file to him and he can e-mail you back the correction. That's probably the best way to do a mail order tune.
Even after it's tuned it won't be right. Close but not right. It may take a couple of Datamaster files back and forth to get your tune where you want it. Good luck.
If you did send him your PCM sanf you have a laptop you may consider getting a cable because then you'll know what's going on. I think it's the best way by far.....other than a dyno.
The B&M converter is probably the stock size so your tranny and converter should hold just shy of 3 gallons. You may need to fill and start, fill and start a few times to get it all in. You'll probably have just a little a cup or two of fluid left from 3 gallons.

I didn't drain the tranny. I put one quart in the convertor before I mounted it and then added two more quarts after I got everything put together. I think it is showing OK on the dipstick, but sure hard to see it.

..... A filter change usually involves six quarts give or take a pint ... so the converter would hold about the same ..............
