Default Staggerd?

Hey guys, I have a 95 lt-1. Im going to put a mini starter in it fron Summit. They want to know if it has staggerd bolt pattern? Got under there looks like bolts are straight across from each other but 1 looks longer than the other. kinda lost Thanks for any info.

Outbound one is shorter. Be sure to check the bolts when you install.

Summit is great, but they are big and a little stupid. Unless you have a ZR1 the MINI starters are pretty much the same. Four vertical holes in the Mounting block make it pretty darned universal.

They may have meant did you want "clocking". " Clocking " allows you to rotate the starter position into a number of different orientations.

The aluminum block that the starter bolts too on a mini will have about twelve holes in it, that allow the movement.

Oh yeah.... ... be sure to check the bolts lengths. I bought one and they had the wrong bolts. 1/4" too long [ with the shims in ].
Potentially disastrous if to short or too long.

Just saying..............

The staggered bolt pattern refers to the bolting to the block. Earlier sbcs and bbcs with 168 tooth flywheels had a "staggered" bolt pattern on the starter. There were 3 holes drilled in the block, where the 153 tooth flywheels used the inline and the 168 tooth had the staggered.
