i just did a google search and came up with someone looping a chain through the air pump and aircon compressor brackets and fastening a a second chain to a lift point on the rear of the motor, maybe a bolt hole in the back of one of the heads. sounds not-so-good, but maybe someone else has tried it and it worked ?
Seriously ?????
it worked good with the 1" tow rope but I wouldnt want to try it with chains. with the rope we could make it like a serp belt and picked up a lot of good lift points. plus the rope did not scratch anything

Dont over engineer things and make things harder than it needs to be use the KISS method make life much easyer.
yo Marv02, you dont have to follow any advice posted here, and lord knows nobody appreciates being called stupid. I just wanted to let everyone on this forum that offered me suggestions know what worked and worked well. when you're lifting 600 pounds and several thousand dollars worth of motor with guys risking smashed fingers guiding it into place I dont care if i over engineered if 2x, it worked and all turned out well. if you have a simpler better KISS way to drop in a motor have at it.
