Getting my new hood today and since most of you folks have talked me out of the wing I was wondering. I have the 18 x 10 1/2 C5 Z06 wheels and the 295/35 tires just fit inside the wheel wells. I'm thinking of some styling changes and was wondering what would be the downside to getting some 1 or 1 1/2" spacers for my rear wheels and using the 4 piece GS flares. That would add some track to the rear and fill up the flares pretty well. I'm currently lowered and have about 2" of space above my tires. Is that enough to keep from rubbing the body with the wider tracks and GS flares or would I need to cut off some of the old fenderwell? Howzat work? Thanks ---Gunny---
That's the look I'm after but I'd want a little more tread on my tires: I live in Kentucky and I've gotta turn or I'll wind up in the creek. Although Corvettes and boats are both made of plastic The floating thing worries me some. Also, if the pic in your profile is any indication, I don't think you can turn with your front wheels IN THE AIR anyways unless your posi broke. Then you'd turn real fast.

Good one. You could mount the flares. If the tires rub on the stock fenders, you could always die grind them. They'll be hidden under the flares. Here's a pic of the flares in action.
