The pulley or the hub?

LT1 is 2 piece setup; the pulley simply unbolts from the hub on crank
Hub requires the puller

From under the car use a long rod to tap the pully fwd after removing the bolts the actual hub you will need a puller and the one shown i dont think will work unless you remove the steering.

If you're speaking of the crank balancer--you don't need a puller--some PB blaster sprayed around the area where the balancer slides on the hub may do the trick-if not a piece of 2x4 against the balancer and a hammer(from the under side of the Vette) should do the trick. You may need a helper to rotate the crank while you tap on the 2x4.

If you're trying to remove the hub itself from the crankshaft the puller you're looking at would be too long (wouldn't fit) with the engine in the car.

I have let them sit over night after a good dose of PB blaster and had better luck next morning. You will win --but some can be a real b*tch.

Is the hub the part you need to mark before pulling it off the crank in order to maintain crank balance?
