Default Fuel injector failure

I have been having a bit of trouble with my 91 C4. Changed the fuel filter and Fuel pump. It runs now but not very well. My mechanic just called to say I have some injectors that are bad. He says about $80 each for Bosch etc. Corvette connection has them for $82 for delphi. They also have accel 24 LBS/hr for $319 for a set are these the same thing, He mentioned that there are cheaper options but you get what you pay for. I don't plan to sell the car and I want to do it right. I might add that my is not driven every day and some times is parked for weeks at a time which may be rough on injectors.

I've just posted information for someone else so I'll do a copy for you. And I will say that for our application you don't get better than the BOSCH III's.

You want to contact these people....

http://fuelinjectorconnection.com

Very good reputation and can supply the injectors and gaskets you will require.

I would you'll be pointed towards these.

Injectors $189

A good Vette mechanic should know about Jon. Unless he works at a Dealership or is relying on past knowledge.

Thanks for the information guys. I will call him tomorrow and see what he recommends. My mechanic worked at a dealership for a number of years and now has his own small shop. He seems to know the engine, he says he had a Trans Am with a L98.

Update........
Injectors and gaskets arrived yesterday afternoon. I took them to the mechanic and got my car back this morning. Runs great, I think the problem is solved. Cost of entire project for parts and labor was $604.
At a small additional cost I also now have A new water pump and belt fresh anti-freze and Mobil 1 synthetic oil. Next stop, the tire store

Wow - you did get a super great deal at $175 for a injector labor on a TPI

It is a good idea to check the tire(s) "date codes" on the new tires before they stick 'em on the rims. See thread below if your unfamilar with this.
