Spline will not fit....

Spline will not fit....
My new MSD opti is not cooperating, it seems the spline is too high on the flat spot ends as you can see in the pix and will not mate to cam end, please advise, should I try and file it or send it back

When I replaced an opti on my 92 I had a problem where I barely started to force the Dynaspark on and started to bend the fill. A file and some clean up and installing it correctly made it work fantastic.
Will a couple of strokes with a file fix it? If so do it and put it on.

Sounds good and I think it will work, but I would hate to file it and it still doesn't fit..so I e-mailed MSD with pictures and advise as I don't want to f up my warranty, so if they give me the ok I will file it, if they want to do it I'll send it back. BTW does the MSD spline look normal or cut wrong?
