Many years ago. I sent EW a list of every part. and a idle & drive log
his first guess.. I could not rev @ idle more then 1/2 Throttle.. 2nd guess not much better
in between the scans I purchased tuner cat and pocket programer made up my own pinout from a spare ECU.. to read the OE prom without de-soldering.. it was a stock vette bin with very little changes Still have it $250.00 what a RIP off.. he was a hacker... and we were stupid enough to pay him

I'm guessing you had other issues. Ed did the tune for my 383 LT1 when I had my 93 vette on the street and it was dead on. Eventually chassis dyno'd it and found 4hp, yes just 4. He's also tuned our duramax dually, my Trailblazer SS and gave me a base tune for my NHRA stocker's EFI system. He's a good guy and knows what he is doing.
vette man you would be guessing wrong
does he pay you.. this a coverup..
complete new build... around 9 years ago. I was able to tune with my AFR meter installed.. data logs and test runs. hmmm full throttle runs after I was done...
maybe? just maybe? he let some rookie!! in the shop learn on mine
I still have it. would you like to buy it... should be worth a fortune

no, he doesn't pay me, but I've known Ed for over a decade, and he is no hack, PERIOD!!! I just have zero tolerance for people running their mouth and slandering good people.
Vette man.. can't deny you have been friends for a decade..
To be slanderous.. It would be a story or a rumor... I'm right here... It's 100% fact.. I also can say the guy was a lil baby. I was with a friend. that called EW for a mail tune. Mentioned reading the prom.. EW pouted. he will not tune for him now.. call someone else... Not very professional.
By all means GET him on HERE... And tell him to buy!!! back.. his bogus tune. I have. then I will shutup and you can call it a rumor... I have ZERO tolerance getting ripped off.. he might be good now.. he tried twice... After the 1st down time... I already had 100s of burn and learn time

I didn't have a very good experince with him either. After putting a cam in the car, I decide to have him tune it. It was the comp cams one that is about the same as the hot cam so I figured it shouldn't be anything too difficult to handle. Afterwards, the car ran like crap at part throttle and WOT couldn't shift without doing a weird bog afterwards. After checking my work and not finding anything wrong, I called him up looking for some help. Flat told me that there is nothing wrong with the tune, I need to fix my car. After some more head scratching, I finally buy a laptop and software to scan and read the computer. First thing I notice is that the fuel injector trim multipliers were all screwed up. they should be around 1.00 and I had a value that was 0 and another was .43. Changed those values and part throttle was much better, then I backed up the shift points a couple of miles per hour* and the bog went away on the shifts. Those 2 changes made a world of difference but apparently there was nothing wrong with the tune.
*I lowered the shift point after I read somewhere that the computer with an automatic doesn't like shiftting over 6k rpm for 94-95 cars. Figured it was worth a shot and it worked.

I did not want to tweak you. but from your Decade buddy EW mail order tune..
to him setting up your LT1 on a Dyno.. he could only find 4HP out of a 383 are you serious?? now how does this statement??? and knows what EW is doing Match???? wow <> you just proved our case!!! and did not even know

I believe what the Vette Man was saying was that Ed's chip was so good that when he did put his car on the dyno they could only get 4 more horsepower than Ed was able to get and Ed did his through the mail.
That's how I interpreted his response
I myself had Ed do a chip for me and had no complaints
He was recommended to me by Thunder Racing.
He burned a chip for my 90 L98. Stock bottom end with SuperRam.
Had a tilt in stumble at first. Ed improved that with a little more tilt in fuel and also made the secondary cooling fan come one sooner which is nice because it would get pretty warm befoire it kicked on before. The stumble is now gone after advancing the timing 4 degrees. Still stumbles a bit when cold but not at all at operating temp.

Ohh I understand what he meant
but from mail order.. to a real time tune.. on a 383 and only +4HP
I'm positive.. I could find more then 4 with my wideband myself
