C4 Power Window Regulator Upgrade
Finally got some time and started out to tackle the window regulator upgrade on my 86. Bought the used regulators in the summer sometime and finally opened the box and set them out to lube them up....WTF ??
Bookends...something doesn't look right....2 for the same side...****!
What 2 am i looking at...Drivers side or passenger side??
Is there a way to alter one of them to fit the other side??

Yep thats what you have there. Maybe you could talk to the seller if a recycle yard to trade or even a place like vette2vette. Explain what happened and maybe a sniffle or two might get ya fixed up.

3 hours later and the drivers side regulator is in and operating perfect...nice and smooth and really quick.
I then took the passenger door panel off to at least do the "loose door panel fix" with a couple of L brackets and what do i see...the new style regulator already in there. I guess the PO already did that side
I normally don't have that kind of luck when it comes to this car or any car for that matter....just glad to see one in there though. I'll keep the 2nd drivers side regulator for a spare.
The passenger side window is not as fast as the new drivers side, but i guess its still pretty good
