How do LT1/LT4 headers differ from standard SB headers?

How do LT1/LT4 headers differ from standard SB headers?
Just purchased a '95 LT1/4L60-e for my '76 and was wondering what the difference is between the LT1 headers and those on my '76?
Are the "D"-shaped exhaust ports of my LT1 heads blocked-off in any way by the "old school" style headers? Why are LT1 headers so expensive? :eek:

Any D-port header should work. Also VetteDan swapped a LT1 and 4L60 in a C3. http://www.vetteworksonline.com/ has the details on the swap.
