Anyone know of a good place to start looking for a switchable Aux Fan system for a 1991? Seen a few great posts here on the subject but not on the vendors supplying them.
If your car already has an aux. fan in it, why not just tap in a DPDT switch to the interior of the car. Down position tapped into the existing aux. fan wiring, so it works normally when the switch is in the down position. The up position wired to a 12V source with a fuse into the switch, and out of the switch to the fan, so its acts on/off on demand. Don't forget to place the switch back to the down (normal) position when you exit the car, or the fan will keep running and kill the battery.
If you don't have an existing aux. fan, call a junk yard and get one from a wrecked Vette. (get the wire connector at the fan with it)
Tap into a 12V source, then fuse, then on/off switch, and run the wires to the new fan. This will result in an on/off manual activation of the aux. fan, and be a clean stock looking installation.
