have a much bigger problem. the whole intake set up i bought, manifold, runners, plenum and throttle body are from a 85-88 and my car is a 90.
im told i can still use the system if i remote mount and run a vacume line to the MAP sensor (run a vacume line from where? t off the exsisting vacume lines in the manifold?)
install a plug for the cold start injector, and the rest all bolt up?
I picked up the edelbrock high-flow intake and runners for $450 off eBay, with it came the 1000 CFM throttle body. all off a 1988 or older motor.
The Plenum he used with it was included, so the throttle body bolts up to the plenum.
the plenum is port matched to the runners (score)
I have purchased the cold start injector kit from ebay for $29.
My machine shop is going to add a third vacume port in the 90 stock location and im going to mount the MAP sensor on the firewall.
Now all i need is the throttle cable from an 88 vette and I'm in business.
Im not sure i need that big of a throttle-body, but the motor should be able to breathe!
Im thinking the $489 (after shipping) was a pretty good deal for this set up, and the $60 for the additional parts seems a small price to pay to use the throttle body that i got basically for free.
It is scheduled for a tune shortly, that's why i got a bit panicked. i'm pretty sure i could get my money back out of it if it didn't work, but i really wanted it on there for when I get the tune.

Porting on the plenum looks home done and kinda rough. so im not for sure its worth the $200, but im thinking even if it looks kinda scary it will flow better then stock.
