Re: H4 Headlight Conversion for a C4, part #? (TIMSPEED)
Eeek, $90? I spent $80 and it came with bulbs, and I feel that I got ripped.
The headlights in the Corvette(despite being plastic) are the same one that everything uses. My Blazer uses the same set, my roomates Nissan uses the same set, Cheyenne trucks use the same set.

I just went to a parts store and bought two H4 bulb compatible unsealed headlights and the bulbs to go with them (in my case 90-120w if I recall correctly). Total investment was something like $120AUS (hald that to get the figure in US dollars ).
Yes, I pointed the lenses down a little more so as to not blind oncoming drivers at low beam.
Re: H4 Headlight Conversion for a C4, part #? (Red 90 L98 Coupe)
I was going to update mine but I couldn't get over it costing over $100 to do it.
I went with the Sylvania Cool Blue
And for $12 a piece you can't wrong. I am very pleased with them :chevy
Re: H4 Headlight Conversion for a C4, part #? (TIMSPEED)
I actually have the Cool Blue's in there right now, they are O K, I am expecting to go "WOAH!" when I turn the lights on.
For THAT kinna money...i would HOPE so
I have Cool Blue's too...but chose a different route. I bought the bulbs at Walmart for $8.95 each...and found the housings in a salvage yard...$5 for both.
The Cool Blues are "ok"...they're far from $100 worth of "woah" though...
It's basically a new sealed-beam 6054 unit, that replaces the factory one. Except it's a glass housing with a removeable H4 bulb. (H4's are much brighter than 6054's) I have Xenon 885's in my fog light's, and Xenon 1156's(or are they 1157?) in my parking lights. I'm not particularly happy with the parking light bulbs..the actual 1156(7) normal ones seem to make a brighter light, the xenon's just make a purdy blue light. :D A neat way to make the parking lights REALLY bright, is to turn on the emergency flashers and hold the brakes, (it makes both filaments burn in the parking bulbs)

How did Scorp get his lights to come through the lower light areas, by his license plate? That looks very cool. All the nights shots his his car have the headlights through there, not through the pop-ups... thx
Re: H4 Headlight Conversion for a C4, part #? (lampedusa)
Those must be his fogs and parking lights. That's where they're at. The 885 fog bulbs are rated at 50watts, which is higher than the factory 6054 low beam wattage (35)

Those are my foglights. 50W normal 885 bulbs.
You mean like this?
My headlights are off, my foglights/parking lights are on.
[edit]
p.s.
You'd know if it if my headlights were on. Bright suckers. :D
Ahh yes, the drag strip pic. Yeah, I run just fogs and parkings are the strip, or even when I race anywhere. ;) It just gives the car a more cleaner look (maybe more aerodynamic too, who knows)
so can you run both at the same time?, are they on separate circuits? did you have to do anything with the fuses as in from 10amps to 15amps? i thought i read a c4 article, on lamp upgrade to brighter bulbs , required a larger fuse!
thanks Guy
