96 power steering cooler

96 power steering cooler

On my 96 Collectors Corvette it has a cooler for the pwr steering. Stock? Needed? I have not seen one before.

Needed for lots of sustained high speed driving. Even with the cooler, when I run road course events, the power steering tends to still get extremely hot and boil out from time to time. I'd hate to think what would happen if the cooler was not there! ;)

gm put the cooler in the wrong place. hardly any flow there. the cooler itself works great if put in the airstream.

My OEM setup seems to work just fine-at least it is well protected.

I know the early C4's have a system not nearly so well engineered.
