I should be mad that I found cracks :smash: in my manifold but I'm just relieved I finally found something wrong, maybe my rough idle is solved.
I found why my right bank was running 10% lean according to the O2 sensor. In reality the oxygen was entering after the cylinders so my PCM was enriching the right side of my motor even though it didn't need it. I will probably get better gas mileage and it might idle smoother now.
Wish I had some headers handy. I might just weld it up. :smash:
At idle they suck air into the manifold. You can hear the sound of sucking air on the pass. side where the cracked manifold sits. The BLM's read 141 on that side and 129 on drivers side. The O2 sensor was reading the 'extra' air and adding fuel making the car idle bad. I am getting the cracks welded at 6pm and will have the car ready for the 9:30pm car meet here in Lake Jackson, TX.
