L98

did the L98 in the 1987 Corvette come as a four bolt main with D port heads? I have a used 1987 that I bought and the motor took a crap in a mateer of a month. Now that I have it stripped put I found my L98 has 2 bolt main not 4 and I read somewher that factory aluminum D port heads was what came on them. I also read that the 2 bolt main L98 was on the Camaro and TA's. Does anone know?

87 L98 had '128 alum heads ; not '113 D ports

No 4 bolt blocks until LT1 in '92

Vette L98 block identical to same year F-body L98

I have never seen an L98 that was 4 bolts but I did read something somewhere saying they should be - they are not.

2 bolts for 87, i was surprised when i tear apart my engine as well
