I read a post that stated some of the late 1994 cars came with the vented opti.My car was built in May 94. How can I tell if it has the vented opti ?
I hadn't heard that, and I don't have one. If you do by chance have one it will have vacuum lines running to and from it. One should go from it to the throttle body.

it is possible someone updated yours...
there are 2 ways, one is to retrofit the vent (I did this)
the other is to update the front of the engine to use the later opti.

Thanks for the replies, I checked my car and it has the older style opti. Oh well, the dealer that replaced it gave me a lifetime warrantee.
