Does anyone know the 4 digit code on the ECM in an 87 vette? Mine has auto trans and highway 2.54:1 rear end. Any help appreciated

From what I found online it looks like abtk is the 87 auto code unless I am missing something I don't see that here. My car has rpo gm1 so it's the 2.59:1 rear and md8 for trans.

I saw that one already but it references the 2.73:1 ratio rpo gu2. Saw somewhere else that Arar is for the 2.59:1 auto but just trying to verify. Thanks for all the help

ARAR is for 89 Vette w/ 2.59.

Would work in yours but you would have to disconnect the cold start injector as '89+ TPI
added extra cold start fuel through the injectors;
not the standalone CSI used on earlier TPI cars

Not all proms are documented online.
You will note there are 15 different ones for the Vette w/man trans in 87 alone
http://www.chevythunder.com/prom_bcc_1987.htm

Every time GM made any adjustment to a tune they issued a new BCC

Thanks for the chart! So correct me if I am wrong... As long as I use a code in my car that matches trans and gear I should be fine if all gm did was change the code due to an update. In this case abtd would work.... Thanks again!
