New Mod installed - Nice gains
The weather conditions were 65 degs, 30.30 baro, 50% humidity.
My current TPI combo is:
Accel base + AS&M runners + ported plenum + stock 48mm TB.
The best run was a 12.81 at 107.09 with a 1.73 60' time. This is .15 better than my last run , which was run under better weather conditions.
I also picked up about 1.5 - 2 mph.
Attached are some timeslips. The Vette is now solidly in the 12.8's.
Fuel pressure was 40-41 psi , Coolant temps were 165- 170 degs.
I would also like to thank 65Z01 for lending me his brand new AS&M runners. He never installed them and basically handed me the box.
All comments and questions welcomed.
Vic
I'm glad that intake combo got the job done for you.
Assuming you weighed in at 3280lbs, that computes to 311hp, normalized for weather!! Very nice indeed.
BTW, what was your trap speed on that 04/06/02 time slip with the 12.95sec ET?

I got to say your mods and times are exactly what GM shouldve sold the car off the showroom floor with.Nice to see that someone has gotten the L98 into the 12s with basically bolt on mods.
:D

To answer some questions:
65Z01 -> Those were my best 60' times, so NO lose of bottom end torque. The best run from 4/6 was 12.96 at 105.xx, the other runs were 12.97-13.03.
My car only ran a 12.85 once before in 45 deg weather with a very high baro. The rest of the runs were 12.93 and above.
Yesterday I was in the low 12.8's all day. MPH was 106.xx to 107 all day
Bills86coupe -> The base without the runners didn't give me any gain.
Robblk90 -> They are the AS&M long tube runners, not the siamesed runners.
Nucking Futs -> I have stock 22lbs injectors, they have 74K miles on them. I also run 40-41.5 psi ont he fuel pressure with the vacuum hose disconnected.
Also, my shift points are not perfect yet. The 1-2 shift was at 4400rpms and the 2-3 shift was at 4900 rpms. I was messing with the governor during the week and I didn't set the shift points correctly.

From your trap speeds it looks like you have another tenth of so in there. Maybe upping the shifts to 5k will do the job.
You're realy making these L98s look great and you still have heads (25hp), headers (20hp) and 1.5RRs (15hp) to go. Looks like you can be at 370hp without even doing a cam! You're definitely going into the low 12s in the future.
I'm sending you the mods results data I'm basing my HP estimates from.
