84 Intake Manifold Gasket
I am currently installing a Renegade intake manifold on my 84. The instructions recommend using a Fel-pro 1205 high performance gasket. After removing the old manifold and gaskets I noticed that the holes for both rear coolant ports on the old gaskets (the one I removed) are very small (~ 1/4" hole). The new Fel-pro 1205 gaskets have holes as large as the manifold ports. Does anyone know why you would limit the flow of coolant through the manifold?

On the oem intake, theres a coolant passage that run lengthwise, the rear gaskets are restricted to cause the coolant to flow through the manifold from the front to back. Then it flows out of the rear heater hose.
