Default fuel pump relay part 2

Hi I decided to close that old thread. because is was getting confuse. and since I have new information on the problem I open this new one.

If you like to see the old threat you can go to.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-t...cs-inside.html

my fuel relay have no energy. consecuentely. the fuel pump is not working.

I just got back from the car and preforme some test on the relay.

I discover that terminal E on fuel pump relay have no volts. because the orange cable is disconected..

I did not had the time to re conect that cable since I did all this on my lunch time. this will be done on the next weekend.

I also test the termina C on the fuel pump. when I turn the key to on position. I get a voltage reading of 0.4 or 0.3 just the first second. after that go to 0 volts.

I know the key on only give you volts for 2 seconds on C terminal. but my question is regading the volts been so low. I think I most get 12 volts on that C terminal. but Iam getting almost nothing. please someone tell me why is that.????

also I test the relay it self and past the test ok.

Where do you have the orange wire disconnected ?

If it's where it is mounted to junction block, it may be the reason for low volts. That wire also feeds ECM, so it can power fuel pump relay, etc.

Very happy to see you agent86. I have a picture of the orange wire. I will upload later in the day. For reference.

The orange wire coming out of the fp relay at E terminal and about 8 inchs away is cut. So it not even get to the jucntin box.

About the oil swicth. I discover all the importance of the oil switch after i left the car. Yesterday. So i did not had a chance to look into that. One thing worry me. I dont recal even see a oil switch. I will have to see today some time and hope for the best.

Also planning to go work on that relay tonight. Dont know if i can make it but i will try
