Default Experts - Help with Nos Install

Installing a Nos 100 HP dry shot. (See mods listed)
I have been told that the chip is advancing my timing by 4 degrees.??
The plugs are TR 5 not sure if the gap is set at .050 or .035 until I pull one.

1. Do I need TR 6 Plugs? Gap setting on the TR 5 if I can keep?
2. Gap setting .040 on the TR 6?
3. Do I need a MSD digital 6 with timing retard of 6 degrees?
4. Remove chip? and forget the rest?

Everyone I talk to gives me different advice.
Help me...

With only a 100 shot your plugs will probably be ok...But, you don't want more that .030-.035" gap. I would suggest putting your stock chip back in as well. See how everything runs with that and if everything looks good you "might" be able to put the hotter chip back in; but, when you do so I would suggest going to a colder plug and either running some unleaded race gas or a good octane booster.

Answers for anyone interested:
1. yes - colder range required
2. .035 -
3. yes - 5-7 degrees retard required - chip adds timing (can remove chip)
4. no - the msd 6 compensates when spraying - leave chip in.
We see many posts here and you need to set your nos systems up as reecommended to protect your engine. Get the proper advise from the manufacturers of the mods that you install. :seeya
